Why This Role Matters
As a Sales Manager – Return Prime, you will play a critical role in driving new customer acquisition across India’s fast-growing D2C ecosystem. This role is focused on building strong relationships with founders, CXOs, eCommerce, and operations leaders, and positioning Return Prime as a strategic partner for returns and post-purchase operations.
You will own the full sales cycle, from outbound prospecting and discovery to solution selling and closure, while navigating multi-stakeholder decision-making across high-growth D2C brands.
What You’ll Own
New Customer Acquisition
- Drive new customer acquisition across D2C brands on Shopify.
- Build a strong pipeline through consistent outbound and ecosystem-led sourcing.
Stakeholder Management & Relationship Building
- Build relationships with founders, CXOs, eCommerce heads, and operations leaders.
- Identify key pain points in returns, RTO, and post-purchase workflows.
Discovery & Consultative Selling
- Run discovery calls to understand business challenges and operational gaps.
- Conduct product demos and solution workshops tailored to merchant needs.
Outbound & Prospecting Ownership
- Own outbound motions end-to-end: cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, email sequencing, and ecosystem networking.
- Maintain strong discipline on follow-ups and lead nurturing.
Pipeline Management & Forecasting
- Own the sales pipeline from prospecting to closure with strong forecasting discipline.
- Drive quota achievement with clear reporting and CRM hygiene.
Partnership & Ecosystem Collaboration
- Work closely with partnerships (agencies, aggregators, ecosystem players) to unlock new opportunities.
- Leverage Shopify ecosystem relationships to accelerate deal closures.
Competitive Positioning & Value Articulation
- Position Return Prime against competing solutions with clear differentiation.
- Communicate ROI and business impact with strong value-based selling.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Product and Customer Success teams to ensure smooth onboarding and execution.
- Create feedback loops to influence product improvements and merchant experience.
Market Intelligence & Trend Tracking
- Track trends across Indian D2C, logistics, Shopify ecosystem, and returns tech.
- Share insights on competitor activity, merchant expectations, and evolving workflows.
Who You Are
- 3–5 years of experience in sales, outbound, or business development within Shopify Apps/Plugins, D2C SaaS, eCommerce, logistics tech, or Shopify ecosystem.
- Experience selling to founders or senior stakeholders is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Shopify workflows, merchant operations, and integration ecosystem.
- Familiarity with returns management or post-purchase operations is a strong advantage.
- Working knowledge of OMS/WMS/logistics tools like Unicommerce, Vinculum, Increff, Shiprocket, etc.
- Strong understanding of D2C metrics such as CAC, LTV, RTO, return rates, and fulfillment SLAs.
- Basic understanding of APIs, webhooks, Shopify Admin, theme integrations, and data flows.
- Strong ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes and ROI.
