As GoKwik scales into a multi-product, multi-market platform, experience quality becomes a key growth lever. The Head of Design will own how merchants, shoppers, and internal teams experience GoKwik’s products—driving adoption, engagement, and retention. This role defines the experience vision, builds a strong design organisation, and partners closely with Product and Engineering leadership to ship high-impact, scalable experiences.
What You’ll Own
Design Vision & Unified Experience System
- Define and own a unifying product experience vision across KwikCheckout, KwikEngage, KwikPass, KwikReturns, and KwikShip
- Build and scale design systems, components, patterns, and documentation to ensure consistency and speed across teams
- Establish design review rituals to maintain high standards across interaction design, accessibility, UX hygiene, and content consistency
Persona-Led Design for Adoption & Conversion
- Identify merchant and shopper personas and map end-to-end journeys across products
- Simplify complex workflows into intuitive, self-serve, high-trust interfaces
- Partner with Product and Data teams to improve core metrics such as activation, conversion, feature adoption, and retention
Research & Insights Engine
- Lead qualitative and quantitative research including FGDs, interviews, usability testing, and concept validation
- Translate insights into product strategy, experience principles, and prioritised design bets
- Build a repeatable insight-to-impact loop: research → prototype → test → ship → learn
Design Org Leadership & Delivery Excellence
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performing design organisation
- Own hiring end-to-end: role definition, sourcing, interviewing, leveling, onboarding, and team structure
- Set clear expectations for design quality, ownership, and delivery timelines
- Establish coaching systems including career paths, performance feedback, and mentorship
- Implement design operations to bring clarity and discipline—intake, prioritisation, critique, QA, and handoff standards
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Embed merchant-first and shopper-first thinking into product discovery and execution
- Define best practices for PM–Design collaboration, including discovery rituals, PRD quality, and UX definition-of-done
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Revenue, and GTM leaders to align priorities and deliver measurable business outcomes
- Represent design in leadership forums and influence long-term product direction
Who You Are
- 10 - 14 years of experience in product or UX design, with 3–5+ years leading design teams or organisations
- Proven experience owning design vision, systems, hiring, and end-to-end delivery in B2B SaaS or multi-product environments
- Strong at simplifying complex workflows into intuitive, self-serve product experiences
- Data- and research-driven, with a clear link between design decisions and business outcomes
- High craft standards combined with operational discipline and strong cross-functional influence
